Discerning the Absolutes

"It is non-representational, a fusion of southwest motifs and geometric designs. It began without a specific idea or direction, but the composition of shapes and southwest motifs, and the addition of depth creates an almost surreal environment. This is my largest abstract work. I named it “Discerning The Absolutes” because I found myself connecting patterns and relationships between the shapes, and ”discerned” their differences. The painting is open for interpretation, but many have noted its “cosmic”, “surreal” and “southwestern” qualities. It is meant to be open for interpretation as a meditative piece."
