Cloud Puffs

"The sky with its infinite variations of beauty has obviously been the source of inspiration to many thinkers, spiritualists and also artists. Because I cannot see the sky as I once did, it has lost some of its former luster and glory to say the least. So when I worked on Cloud Puffs, I was attempting to recreate an impression of billowing, poofy clouds while abandoning any effort at capturing a realistic skyskape. In order to this I chose light sunny pastel blues and yellow hues and then outline the cloud bursts. The result, in the eyes of the artist, looks like a stoic, perhaps even a happy explosion."
