"The forest is a dark shroud but when the sun rises and shines light through the shapes, the colors emerge. This is the “celebration” of the many hues of the trees’ vibrancy that is seen with an artist's creative eye. Inspired by a photograph of a dense woods, the festival of colors were generated with masks. The alcohol drips were carefully controlled to be revealed as texture and color when the masks were removed. The painting was created with Q-tips, paper towels and felt pads."
