Breathing in Color

"Color is at the core of everything I create; my north star. Geometry may be the compositional core of my works but it is color that breathes life into them. This work expresses the importance that color plays in my creativity. To do that, I use the circle as my vehicle. The form of the circle finds its way into many of my works. Why the circle? For me the circle is the most universal and archetypal of all forms, used by all cultures from all times to the present. In Breathing in Color, an ordered array of circles floats above a background of a more random arrangement of circles. The circles glow with an ebb and flow of color gradients as if they are backlit with light bringing an optical intensity that radiates a mysterious energy."
