Bison in White
"This piece was inspired by my 13 months living in Colorado during the pandemic. When I felt particularly challenged by life I went in search of a bison herd just 3 miles away. I found them in back roads and along a patch of land along a major highway in the high country of Evergreen, Colorado. They gave me peace in a difficult time. Their stoic nature and tolerance of the most bitter wind and cold was inspiring. They became my refuge during those months. This bison was in homage to one bison in particular who stood just on the other side of a fence as I communed with her in snow and wind. She looked miserable, but endured."
