Awash

"" AWASH" is one of my newest experimental pieces - one of a group of abstracts that I have been working with for most of 2022. I am using my new Pebeo acrylic paints that I was able to buy with gift cards from ArtLifting that I saved up from 2021. I have, in recent years, been inspired to explore newer products that work in different ways to bring fresh new styles and ideas to my art. I love the inherent textures of this paint and have discovered several methods of applying and combining them to achieve effects in blending and fluidity that I find exciting and beautiful. In "AWASH" I love the way the colors come together to blend and move across the canvas with lovely fluid movements, like spilled liquids washing with speed across a surface and splashing against an object with the comparative force of an ocean wave breaking on a reef."
