Artist’s MRI VI

"*This collection draws from my studies of Japanese literature and myth, a personal journey in natural ink-making to echo place and symbology, and my family’s ancestry (both in stories known and lost; epigenetics and health) - through the lens of my lived experience with multiple sclerosis and neurodiversity, medium and process. In my creative practice, the scales shift daily between these four pillars.* From the artist's spring 2024 MRI and handmade madder root ink, layered over a cyanotype print of continuous-line eyes (representing genetics/ancestry) on washi (referencing elements in companion artworks Nagase and Yoshino MRI)."
