Artist’s MRI V

"Painted from the artist's own MRI, tracking multiple sclerosis progression, and transformed into a soothing yet energetic landscape in cool shades with a pop of gold and warmth. Multiple sclerosis lesions are emphasized in gold, as a nod to the Japanese art of kintsugi- where cracked or broken ceramic vessels are repaired with gold to honor the history of the vessel. The thread in the artwork is from the artist's grandmother's collection, used as a remembrance and for texture."
