"Painted to & inspired by the song by the Sneaker Pimps. Listening to this song over & over as I worked, the colors & movements my synesthesia brain unfolded before me made me feel as if I was floating & dancing underwater - so I tried to translate what I saw & felt onto the canvas. As my fingers moved the paints across the canvas, I would cease to feel the physical pain I deal with daily & instead felt like I was dropping deeper & deeper into a peaceful ocean of color & beauty.
The thick layers of paints, inks, reflux pigments & translucent mediums makes the eyes feel like you're looking through water to find the delights floating around inside of an ocean or aquarium."
