"One of the artists I am inspired by is Claude Monet. I loved his bridges and water lillies. The canvas had a painting that I had created a while back but it always seemed to be missing something. When I started using cut photos in the multimedia process. I felt it might help to create another level to the landscape. The bright colors of the flowers helped to bring them to the foreground and push the painted areas to the background. I love how it becomes an abstract image of nature."
